My Review of MamaRoo Baby Seat - Red

Originally submitted at Toys R Us

Weve never seen a parent vibrate their child like a bouncy seat and hardly seen one swing a baby around like a swing. But, weve seen thousands of parents scoop their little ones up in their arms and bounce and sway. And thats what the MamaRoo does. It moves like you do. Some seats claim two motions...

LOVE this thing!

5out of 5

Pros: Multi-functional, Strong Construction, Stylish, Compact, Lightweight, Easy Use

Cons: Uncomfortable, Bad Mobile, Stiff Fabric

Best Uses: Daily Use, Newborn, Infants

Describe Yourself: Parent of Multiples (Twins etc), Parent of Two or More Children

We love this thing. Our son love sleeping in it. IT's so functional, but takes up so little space! Love all the movement functions and the ability to customize the intensity of the movement. We also love the built in sounds/white noise; this alone makes this product worth the money. The safety belt's design is also great. I like that I could strap my babies into the seat with a blanket or baby gown and they were still secure.
Our only complaints were:
-Wish it reclined just a little more
-The mobile is pointless and mainly just gets in the way
-Wish the the seat fabric was softer/more plush like the Fisher Price Little Lamb Cradle n' Swing

Those are only minor complaints though. I love this item and would not trade it for a swing.

We own 2 of these. One my 3 year old sleeps with. It's easy to use and he loves it! We've had this one for about 4 months after upgrading from the old version. We bought another for our twins' room, but it stopped working after a few weeks of use. Unfortunately it is an item that we bought on our registry months ago and just opened it recently so it's past the store's 90 day return window and past the manufacturer's 90 day warranty. Very disappointed. IF you get one that works, this product is great! Needs improvement.

My Review of J-41 Dune Sandals - Women's

REI

These J-41 Dune sandals are part sandal, part shoe, but all the way rugged and cute!

Nice, but fall apart

Gift: No

Sizing: Feels true to size

Width: Feels true to width

Pros: Cute, Stylish, Comfortable

Cons: Falls Apart, Needs Break-in

Best Uses: Everyday, Walking, Travel, Barbecues, Going Out, Beach

Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative, Stylish, Mom

I loved these shoes the moment that I saw them in the store. They are very cute and pretty comfy. However after about 2 weeks of wear, the insole started coming up. Problem is, when the insole comes up, the foam lining tears, and chunks fall off...so if you put the insole back in, it feels really strange and not comfy. I'll be taking these back today, but I'm VERY upset that these didn't work out.

Maclaren Giveaway!!!

We just moved from central Illinois to Texas suburbia. Although I really miss Illinois, Texas has it's pluses. Our neighborhood in Illinois had no sidewalks...and wasn't much of a neighborhood (maybe like 15 houses). Here in Texas there are all of these massive planned communities. I'm not much on "cookie cutter" houses and lack of land, but I do like the larger number of parks, walking trails and family activities. The perks of living near a big city.

That being said....the title of this post is "Giveaway" so...I wanted to post you toward a fabulous giveaway! Fabulous Fun Finds will be giving away a Maclaren Techno Stroller XLR in black and champagne with matching rocker and carrier!!! Coming from the middle of nowhere in Illinois, I hadn't seen this brand (we don't even have a Babies R Us or anything). But here in Texas, I see these strollers EVERYWHERE. These strollers are supersleek, light, fast, and solid. They turn on a dime and fold down (like an umbrella stroller) in second. You can even fold them with a heavy toddler kicking and screaming in your arms! I have a standard, cheap, frumpy umbrella stroller and had no desire to upgrade (let's face it, I rebel against the "poshness"). The Combis, etc didn't seem much different from my $20 stroller. But the Maclaren was totally different and I definitely am beginning to have stroller envy;-) I think the main reason for me wanting this stroller over the one that I already have is that it is SOLID, has a great sunshade and it has STORAGE (mine only has a small bag on the back)...and let's face it, it looks really great! So, head on over to Fabulous Fun Finds for your chance to win!

Graco Pack and Play

Christine of From Dates to Diapers is having a great giveaway on her site. She will be giving away a brand new Graco Pack n' Play to one lucky winner. The contest is open to bloggers and non-bloggers and you can earn up to 3 entries each.
We just gave our playard to our family friends M, S and little S. M was just accepted into the ATC's training program, after which he will be an air traffic controller. They will be moving to Oklahoma City, OK for 3 months for M's training and then will be moving to Michigan, where M will be stationed, for 3 years. Little S will be using the playard while they are in Oklahoma. In October, the family will be welcoming a new little one, and this little one will get to use the bassinet and changing table! Unfortunately, this leaves us with no Pack n' Play :-(  My DS uses our playard when we go visit family (almost all of our family lives hours away) and at my in-laws, as they don't have a baby-proofed house. Plus, we're trying to get pregnant again, and the Pack n' Play is a must have for newborns. However, I'm not sure that the next baby will receive as many big gifts from family and friends, and I'm also not sure what we'll be able to afford.
So why do you need or want a Graco Pack n' Play? Head over to From Dates to Diapers tell them why. Hurry you only have until June 20th!
